2025 Stained Glass Projects

I saw this wooden vine thingy at Hobby Lobby and figured I could use it as part of my first project of 2025.

I don’t cut corners. I make ’em! (Note to self – window screens do not a good backdrop make)

Triangles! I was a little disappointed with how this one turned out. There are 7 shades of blue featured but some of them are so close it’s hard to tell. I am a wee bit color blind, so maybe it’s just me! How many can you see?

My first commissioned piece! And honestly, probably my last. Even though the customer was an old friend, I still felt too much pressure not to screw it up.

My dad’s birthday was coming up and he recently lost his pet cat, so I whipped this up to brighten his day a little.

And then it was Easter time. Needed a couple of basket stuffers, so I made these two for my daughter and daughter in law. Notice the crack in the heart? I got a little too zealous polishing it up.

My most ambitious project to date. I’m a bit of a map nerd. Quite a lot of work on this one, but I was very pleased with the results. Now you know where I live.

And then it was my mom’s turn at a birthday so I made this cardinal for her. I still feel pressure when I make people gifts, but since I don’t charge them, it makes it a little easier.

Another sunset. This time I used lead came around the edge to make it as smooth and even as possible, but it’s still not easy to create a perfect circle with glass. It’s still a little jankey in some places. I would not be happy with this had it been a commission.

While I was working on a very large and long project which I’ll show in another post, I took a few breaks to make some simple sun catchers to boost my moral and maintain my sanity.
